We had someone e-mail us their homemade Healthy Banana Bread recipe. Thanks Francine for sharing! 🙂 We did try this and it is delicious! So here it is:
HEALTHY BANANA BREAD:
1 1/4 cup: Whole Wheat Flour
1 cup: Baby cereal (baby rice cereal or baby oatmeal)
1 tsp: Baking powder
1/2 tsp: Salt
1/2 tsp: Baking soda
1/3 cup: Honey
1/4 cup: Margarine (melted)
1 cup: Mashed up banana
1 tsp: Vanilla extract
1/3 cup: Sunflower seeds OR walnuts
1. Preheat oven to 350℉
2. Mix together flour, baby cereal, baking powder, salt, and baking soda.
3. In another bowl, beat the eggs, honey, melted margarine, mashed bananas and vanilla- Add to dry ingredient and add the sunflower seeds (or walnuts) as well.
4. Mix well
5. Bake for 45-50 minutes
